It's Coming...
What's that on the horizon!? Oh! It's our new forums!
Yes, our new forums will be up shortly just as soon as we get all of the little details (layout, permissions, etc.) set up. Thanks to all of you that donated, this will be a much-needed and overdue change around here. But there are a few things that you need to know about them, which may be some sad news.
#1.
The user accounts transferred over without any issues but the passwords did not. When the new forums go up, in order to access your old account, you need to use the "Forgot Password" option when logging in to resent you password. This feature will send an email to the email account that is registered for your account. If you do not use the email address that is attached to your user account here, I would suggest that you change that. If you do not, you may find resetting your password a bit hard.

What may be the biggest disappointment (or blessing) is the fact that this forum's threads could not transfer because of the difference with new forum structure. This means that all of the threads that have been with us for so long, will not be there when the new forums go up. This will help clear out a lot of unnecessary topics and really give us a fresh start but will also leave some favorite threads behind. Not to worry, the old forums will remain on archive just in case you want to check back with them at a later date. I would suggest the popular threads be remade if you want them to continue.
The last order of business is the setup up a new moderating team for these new forums. We will be keeping the current active people on the team, but we are also looking to add a few more people to help out. So if you are interested, or want to nominate someone for the moderating team, then please visit this thread:

SOME OF THE MORE IMPORTANT USER ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN LOST IN THE TRANSFER! IF YOU WERE A "GLOBAL MODERATOR" OR A "PRIVILEGED MEMBER" THEN YOU NEED TO REMAKE YOUR ACCOUNT! ONCE YOU REMAKE IT, PM AN ADMIN AND WE WILL UPDATE YOUR JOIN DATE AND YOUR POST COUNT!!

Ventrilo 3.0!

Our Ventrilo server has been upgraded to version 3.0. This means that in order to connect the No More Room In Hell Ventrilo Server, you need to download and install the newest version too.

Hey guys! We now have our PayPal account set up for donations. If you would like to donate, you would be directly contributing to new forums for the community as well as other community features such as Ventrilo. Any amount is accepted. We are going to buy new, better forums and get everything that’s broken on the forums working again such as the sneak-peak section and the avatars. We plan to have some sort of “benefits” system for those who donate and are currently working out all the details on that. Once the forums have been paid for we will put the money back into the mod to ensure that you all receive the best possible final product. The Gift of Ventrilo!
We here at NMRiH are proud to announce the creation of a public meeting place of sorts. This is a place in which members of our community can communicate and interact with each other on a more personal level. I would like to present the No More Room In Hell Community Ventrilo Server.
I would first like to take the time to thank a respected forum member Cleric for the generous merger of his previously owned server into what we are presenting today. We understand that Ventrilo in the past has been a popular medium in which our community members could interact. It has been used to allow members to play games together, discuss issues, hang out, as well as other things. We feel that this new server will serve the same purpose as well as some new ones.
This server will also serve the purpose of being the meeting place for the developers of this mod. As we progress in development and begin testing, we are going to need a place to communicate clearly and efficiently. It will also be a place where you can find the developers joining public areas from time to time as well. This will allow for the community to interact with the developers personally and will bridge the gap between the community and the creators.
One important note that we would like to make clear about this new server involves the people that will be allowed to use it. This server will be open to the public, and all of the public without exception in the beginning. Despite the fact that we have had problems with certain forum members in the past, we are not going to let that carry over onto this server, so you are welcome to join regardless of what went on in the past. I would like to note though that you are in control of your own destiny here and if you are just here to cause trouble, then you will not be welcomed back. We as administrators have the right to restrict access to those that may go out of their way to bring this server and its community down.
As far as regulation is concerned, the simple rules will be posted on the “Message of the Day” pop-up when you first join the server. These rules are fair and expected to be followed. As with the case with anything that is open to the public, there is always a chance of someone set out with the sole purpose of stirring up trouble. That is why we are looking for administrators that can cover each part of the day. These will be people that can be on in the mornings, others that can cover afternoons, and some for nights. So we definitely are expecting some people from other continents offering to help with this. These administrators will be there to answer questions, fix issues, and to regulate as well. If you are interested in becoming a Ventrilo admin, please send me a private message.
This new Ventrilo server is a gift from the team to our community. We feel that this will benefit the community and the team by allowing the two to openly communicate. A method in which people can stay informed when text isn’t being typed up on these forums. We would like to invite everyone to join up and help strengthen our community and make it a more enjoyable place to be.

Howl-O-Ween Update!
Well kiddies, it’s time….
I would first like to take the time wish you all a very Happy Halloween! This holiday has been a great tradition for this mod and our community and also a date for many to rejoice at new updates. And we here at NMRiH feel that this year should be no different. But you may be asking: “Well, It’s Halloween. Where is my media!?” The answer to that is simple; we do not have anything that we feel is worth showing to you at this moment. Our staff and I realize the consequences that may result from this and that this may be a let down for most of you. I would like to apologize on behalf of our entire team for that. Being a part of a modification with so many hard working people through the years, it is obvious that our staff members would like nothing more than to show off their work. Otherwise, what would be point of creating this mod in the first place? Visuals are not everything though and we are confident that the lack of them will not destroy the hopes of any our truly dedicated fans. I can assure you that when the time is right, the content will come. As long as the progress that is being made at the moment continues that time will come soon enough.
So what exactly has the NMRiH team been up to if there is no media to show? Honestly, our progress had been slowing a bit in the past few months. We had some wonderful content being created by our members, but no one to put it all together. But within the last few weeks, that has all been changed. We are proud to announce that we have obtained a new, wonderfully motivated and talented programmer. His name is James “Pongles” Mansfield. Some of your might know him from his previous work as the lead programmer from a little-known mod called “Insurgency.” Pongles has become the shot of adrenaline (or trioxin if you will) that this team needed. We now have obtained the huge piece to our puzzle, the puzzle that is the creation of a mod. Since his induction into our team, Pongles has provided us with a reorganization of our current game code and has provided a method for our team members to communicate and bring their content together. Within the next few days, we will be provided with an internal alpha build of our game to begin testing. This combination of our already-talented staff, their content, and our new motivated members is really what we have all be yearning for.
These strides that we have made in the last few weeks have really got the team excited and we hope to have passed that excitement on to you are as well. It may not be the visual treat that you were hoping for, but news such as this should be just as good. Some of you may have been ready to turn your back on this team by this point but we can assure that what we have in store for you in the near future will have you all coming right back!
